Terms and Conditions

THIS DOCUMENT IS AN ELECTRONIC RECORD IN ACCORDANCE WITH PROVISIONS OF THE INDIAN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ACT, 2000 AND RULES MADE THEREUNDER.

We, Urban Chisel Interiors Private Limited (hereinafter referred to as “Urban Chisel”, “Company”, “we”, “our” or “us”), are engaged in the business of providing design, manufacturing, and supply of products for end-to-end home and commercial interior solutions and services incidental thereto.

These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) describe and govern the terms on which customers (“Customer” or “you”) may obtain our products and services. By engaging Urban Chisel, you agree that you have read, understood, and are bound by these Terms. If you do not accept the Terms, you must refrain from using our services.

1. Scope of Work

​

1.1 Consultation and Design Services: Urban Chisel will provide consultation and design services in relation to your interior project, including site assessments and concept development, as per your budget and requirements.

​

1.2 Initial Estimate: Post consultation, a tentative Bill of Quantities (BOQ) will be shared with you. This estimate may vary by up to 10% upon final assessment.

​

1.3 Scope Adjustments: You may request changes to the BOQ or scope of work prior to confirmation. Any such changes are subject to these Terms.

​

1.4 Execution and Finalization: Upon your approval and payment of booking fees, Urban Chisel will conduct site validation and share a final execution plan with the total project value (“Project Value”).

​

1.5 Multi-Order Execution: Different phases of the project (e.g., modular, civil, custom furniture) may be invoiced and executed separately.

​

2. Payment Terms

​

2.1 Payments shall be made as per the shared milestone plan.

​

2.2 All payments are non-refundable, including consultation and platform fees.

​

2.3 Changes to scope may lead to adjustments in Project Value and timeline.

​

2.4 All payments must be made to official Urban Chisel accounts via UPI, bank transfer, or official links. Urban Chisel is not responsible for any unauthorized payments.

​

2.5 Prices are exclusive of applicable taxes (GST, etc.), which must be borne by you.

​

3. Obligations

​

3.1 Customer Responsibilities:

​

  • Provide uninterrupted access to site.

  • Share accurate site details and requirements.

  • Approve designs and BOQs in a timely manner.

  • Avoid engaging subcontractors or Urban Chisel staff independently.

  • Understand that renders are illustrative and that final delivery depends on approved BOQ.

  • All products are customized and made-to-order; hence non-refundable.

4. Project Timelines  

​

4.1 Estimated project timelines will be shared post final design freeze.


4.2 Delays caused by client-side changes or third-party issues will impact timelines and may incur additional charges

5. Change Orders & Variations
 

5.1 Any change in design, scope, or material must be requested in writing.


5.2 Additional charges and revised timelines will be communicated before execution.

​

6. Site Access & Safety

​

6.1 Client shall ensure clear access to the project site


6.2 Safety of Urban Chisel staff and materials shall be a shared responsibility. Any damage or theft during the project must be reported immediately.

​​

7. Warranty

​

7.1 All materials used will be as per the approved BOQ.


7.2 Warranties (typically 1 year for workmanship, and as per OEM for appliances/fittings) will be honored based on standard usage conditions.


7.3 Damages arising from misuse, natural calamities, or third-party tampering are not covered.

8. Intellectual Property

​​

8.1 All design plans, 3D renders, and conceptual work remain the intellectual property of Urban Chisel until full payment is received.

​

8.2 Unauthorized duplication or use is strictly prohibited.

​

9. Limitation of Liability

​

9.1 Urban Chisel’s liability is limited to the specific amount paid for the product/service in question.

​​

9.2 We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

​​

10. Termination and Expiry

​​

10.1 These Terms expire upon final handover.

​​

10.2 Urban Chisel may terminate services with 15 days’ notice for:

  • Customer misconduct or harassment.

  • Breach of Terms.

​​

10.3 No refunds are due in case of termination by Urban Chisel under Clause 10.2.

​​

10.4 Certain clauses (e.g., payment, IP, warranty, liability) survive termination.

​

11. Force Majeure

​

Urban Chisel is not liable for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to: lockdowns, floods, strikes, acts of God, government actions, pandemics, or war.

​

12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

​​

12.1 Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably.

​​

12.2 Jurisdiction shall lie exclusively with the competent courts of Bangalore, Karnataka.

​​

13. Non-Disparagement

​​

You agree not to defame or publicly disparage Urban Chisel or its employees/vendors, including on social media, without first attempting to resolve issues formally in writing.

​​

14. Miscellaneous

​

  • These Terms supersede all prior agreements.

  • No waiver is valid unless in writing.

  • If any clause is found invalid, the rest shall remain enforceable.

  • Personal data shared with us will be handled per our Privacy Policy.

  • ​We do not share your information with third parties without consent.
